We have emailed all the people in our group to let them know the date of our music video production will be on Monday 14th November. Originally it was supposed to be on Tuesday 15th November, so as you can see in the email we had to change it.

Copyright
Copyright is the exclusive and assignable legal right, given to the originator for a fixed number of years, to print, publish, perform, film, or record literary, artistic, or musical material. Because "Don't Stop" is a song taken from another artist, we have emailed their record label in order to get permission to use their material. Box inbox & Lionsize's record label is called Unborn so emailed them and asked if we can use their song.

Animatics for the video
This is the animatic for our video.
To create this we took videos of our storyboard's frames and then cut them together to the beat of the music.
- This has been very useful as it has enabled me and my group to envision what our music video is going to look like and the kind of vibe it will have, though obviously we are having to envision it with a lack of colour and movement, we are still able to see and portray to others what we want our video to look like.
- We have identified that quick cuts and cuts back and forth as the beat is building up will work and look good, and slow cuts will not work with the pace of the song. Furthermore, the shot of the mouth lip syncing works very well and we really like the idea.
- We need more shots, though a lot of them will be repeated, we still need a broader range to keep the audience interested and involved.
- We need to think about the drummer and whether or not we are going to include him, and if we are we need to think about where we are placing him and the sort of setting he will be in.
- Now we are going to plan every last thing to do with our music video and get it down so that when we come back after half term we are able to get on with it and know exactly what it is we are looking for in our video.

Auditioning the dancers
As a group we looked at who we want to dance from our school in the music video and we have a list of people so we got them together and asked them to dance for us so we could choose who want from there.
We chose to audition:
We chose to audition:
- Sally Waine
- Charlotte Mcgee
- Daisy Jelley
- Megan Mackay
- Maddy Bowyer
- Eden Bowyer
In doing this we realised they are all really impressive and so we want them to all be in the video.

Meeting with the set designers
We met with the set designers to go over our idea and talk about what we will need and generally just put across our idea of what the video is going to look like and get their opinion on it so they are able to tell us what is possible and what is not when it comes to making our set.
Here is what the set designers wrote down about out idea.
Here is what the set designers wrote down about out idea.
They gave us some valuable input about our idea and told us that having the drummer in his bedroom doesn't quite fit with the rest of the sets we have set up and so, we could just get rid of the drummer entirely or we could put him in the studio and give him a set that fits with the others. They both really liked the idea of messing with continuity as we could play around with the dancers having paint on them and just simply wearing the clothes of that colour. They also really liked our idea of the girls each having their own colour so that when one of them steps forward to dance, the whole set changes to their individual colour.
Elizabeth, one of the set designers, came up with an idea of having the dancers almost set up in a video game so when they dance they step on specific buttons, and this then determines the change in light that would occur.
Surreal
We have discussed and decided we would like our video to have a surreal aspect to it, I drew this inspiration from the video for Deep Down Low by Valentino Khan.
This video is extremely weird and obscure and in ours we would not wish for the obscurity to go this far however the video is good to look at in terms of getting inspiration and building ideas for our own video.
We were coming up with lots if different ideas, to add a surreal aspect to our video, such as having one of the dances mouth words and in the close up show as they open, more and more mouths appear all lip syncing to the song. This image depicts the sort of look we are after.
We then came up with the idea of having some sort of coloured liquid coming out of the mouth as they speak the words to add to the surreal, obscurity of the video.
Furthermore, instead of having the video change entirely to be a surreal video, we only want surreal aspects and so to add to this idea we came up with the girls being painted rather than wearing t shirts, or as well as so that we can play with continuity and have shots where the girls are wearing t shirts, and where they aren't to reveal the paint underneath their clothes. To do this we came up with the idea of the dancers swaying, and as they sway the shots change from them wearing t shirts, to not wearing t shirts so that the viewers can see the paint revealed underneath. This flicking between shots will get faster and faster as the beat builds up.

We thought of having Jonty painted silver in his chest and neck area to match the girls, but instead of being a plain colour it would be metallic to allow him to be separated slightly from the dancers. The dancers would have a ring of paint around their body.
Set designs
These are the set designs we want for our music video. The first is of Jonty on the decks, the second is the dancers, and the third is the drummer.
This is the set design for the dancers when they are on their own. This displays how each of their colours will be presented and the type of room that they will be in.

Altering Idea
We have decided to change our song and alter the concept of our idea, we want a main guy (DJ) to be playing the music throughout the video.
We also want a drummer and while he is drumming we will have strobe lights going up when he hits the drums, these lights will also be by the decks with the DJ doing the same thing.
We still want to stick with the idea of colour and vibrancy but we want something with more of a drop and speed so that we can incorporate dancing and movement. We are thinking of having a guy performing on a platform with loads of lights and colour moving around just so that we can include as much as we can to emphasise the party/festival vibe and then it would cut to girls dancing to the song with lots and lots of energy and performance. We are thinking along the lines of Justin Bieber's music video for "Sorry":
